Oh hey there gorgeous! It’s time for me to do a little closet cleansing so I took a peak in my closet to see what old stuff I had so I can make way for the new stuff. Now of course, I pulled out a bunch of old jeans and I got to thinking this would make a cute tote bag!

With A Little Inspiration
I had plenty of jeans and fabric in my stash to work with so all I need is a handbag pattern and some bag hardware to customize this tote bag piece. With a little inspiration from Pinterest I decided to go with Simplicity S9618 this pattern comes in three sizes, I cut out the medium tote bag for this project . The pattern is great overall but I add a few features like a bottom gusset, main zipper closure, zipper pocket and slip pocket.

Make It My Own Style
I used my Brother Innov-ís NQ1700E Embroidery Machine to create some stylish patches.

I added some Dome-Shaped Feet to the straps and gusset and finished with a Handmade Zipper Pull from Wawak

The side panels are my favorite; featuring my custom made patches with the back pocket details.

Tote Bag Interior Design

I absolutely love how much space is in this bag. I customize the interior to add a zipper pocket with our logo and two slip pockets to easily add my cellphone.
Upcyle Fashion
Here she is! what a beautiful way to repurpose those old jeans into a timeless piece. You can’t tell me nothing next time I’m out and about. You’re not gonna be able to find a unique piece such as this. I’m proud of the details, the patience and hard work it took to create this bag. In case you’re wondering….yes I will be doing a lot more of these projects see you soon.
